COMISAJUL is associated with La Central and its purpose is to achieve social and economical sustainability of its associates through the excellence of its services. This way, it contributes to the life quality of its associates, because asides from being a coffee producers’ society, it is also a savings and loan society.
COMISAJUL, which was founded in 1985, is located in San Juancito, in the province of Francisco Morazán. Howeber, its associates have spread to the province of La Paz and gathers 534 members between the two provinces, of whom 25% are women.
Currently the society provides a wide diversity of services, such as: wet and dry process, coffee exports, credits, and savings, training and technical assistance, negotiation and support for community projects, agricultural input sales, transportation, consumption shop, grounded and toasted coffee, and a cafeteria. This way achieving with more than 1,800 acres, including the society and associates' farms, an annual production of 7,000-10,000 bags of 46kg.

The society has been benefitted by CATIE's (Tropical Agronomy Center of Reaserch and Education) project, "Joining small producers in special coffee commerce" with World Bank's fundings from April 2005 through May 2007.
